Mastodon Alt Text on Images

@Dima-Botezatu tested this and indeed some alt images are important.

Also linkedin warned me in a post with image that they have automatically added a image description. We may not always want that to happend.

Good to know about LinkedIn, thanks for sharing. But yes, alt-text is very important for accessibility. For the moment, I'm unable to use Mixpost with regularity because alt-text is missing. Though, of course, I understand @Dima-Botezatu is the sole developer. Hoping time can be found at some point for this feature.

Thanks @Sascha-Foerster - I didn't see this was already requested. And you make an excellent point about adding focal points to imagery. That is something that is also very important that I didn't remember to include.

Combining our two requests, that puts Mastodon alt-text (and general image editing improvements) in the top ten feature requests, I believe @Dima-Botezatu

This feature would be great, what would be next level would be the ability to use genAI (an llm) to auto annotate images for different platforms.
