Kanban-view for postings to allow collaborative creating and planning of postings

I would like to have a Kanban view of Postings with several rows and lanes, that one can define.
I would then move a posting as a card from left to the right:
First "Ideas", then "Drafts", "Planned", "Posted".

I’ve been thinking about this Kanban setup and wanted to share my thoughts:

  • I’m not sure we need an "Idea" column if we already have "Draft"; technically, they serve the same purpose.
  • Managing posts via Kanban could become cumbersome, as there are few actions that can actually be handled directly from the board. For example: to schedule a post from "Draft," you can’t simply drag and drop it into the "Scheduled" column; you need to select a date and time, and with the "best times" feature, you’d want to view the optimal slots before saving. The other columns (Published, Needs Approval, Failed) aren't really manageable from the Kanban view either. Consequently, it would serve mainly for visualization rather than practical management.

That’s how I see it, but I’m curious to hear what you think.
