Mobile App - PWA

Feature Request Oluwatobi Oluwatobi · 2 years ago · edited

Recently I have been thinking of a mobile app with Mixpost but then I realized PWA now has more features that can easily create a mobile app using a third-party tool by Microsoft (I guess), how possible can Mixpost to pass the test in the link below and each enterprise users can generate a mobile app .apk etc for their self-hosted?

When I did a test, my score was 7/29

@Tobsowo if you study PWA, you will see that Mixpost, is already PWA compatible, I use it as is in iOS without issues. First i believe you need to learn a bit what PWA is and what are the benefits, pros and cons. Hence not sure what tests you found, yet I can tell you anytime you wish you can wrap your app into anything Android based, since you ask for .apk you must be using Android.

Will just have to update for now your manifest with the one from the demo they show in the PWA BUilder:

https://webboard.app/manifest.json .

@Viorel-Cosmin-Miron I am not tech savvy, is this something you can put me through on a video call?

@Tobsowo will have to take it to @Dima-Botezatu in best way, and add the required manifest.json possible improvements according to the manifest builder you showed.

Yet if you cannot wait, I can have a video call and explain you how this works a bit more.

The video call works and also working with Dima @Viorel-Cosmin-Miron.
